An aerial act without a rigging point: what is possible?
When a freestanding rig may work, what venue information is needed and when my ladder act can be an alternative.

A high ceiling is not a rigging point
An aerial act needs more than space above the stage. It needs a suitable rigging point and an assessed setup. A visible beam does not tell us what load it is permitted to take.
Where no suitable point is available, a freestanding rig may be an option. The ground, footprint, height and intended loading all need to work together. Outdoor performances also depend on weather conditions.
The information I need
Send photos of the venue, the available height and the clear floor area. Let me know whether the performance will be indoors or outdoors. We can then discuss the possible setup with the venue’s technical team.
The freestanding rig configuration for my rope act requires 5 m height and at least 5 m diameter of clear floor and aerial space. We must confirm the exact footprint and configuration. These dimensions are not blanket approval for other acts or other rigs.
If a rig does not fit
My ladder act needs no suspension. I balance on a freestanding ladder attached neither to the floor nor to the ceiling. This needs a stage of at least 4 × 3 m, at least 3.80 m clear height and a level, dry, firm floor.
The rigging page includes the riders and the rig drawing. Your technical team can compare the requirements with the venue before we agree the setup.
