Why I moved from rope to chain
20 kg of steel, audible movement and a material that shows strength: the thinking behind my aerial chain act.

I wanted to create something of my own
After more than ten years on aerial rope, I was looking for something that felt different to me and showed strength more clearly. That led me to develop my steel chain act. Rope is still part of my work. The chain gave me a way to develop another side of it.
My chain weighs 20 kg. That weight does not disappear when I hang from it. You can see the steel and hear the links move. The material is part of the performance.
What aerial chain is
Aerial chain is acrobatics on a suspended chain. In my act, I combine movement on the vertical chain with a dental hang in the finale. I use a mouthpiece to suspend my body weight. This is also known as iron jaw.
The dental hang is part of this act. The video shows the full performance so you can see whether it fits your show.
Bringing the chain to your stage
I perform the chain act in circus productions, variety shows, galas and corporate events. We discuss the music, lighting and placement in the running order to suit the production.
The setup requires a suitable rigging point with at least 1,000 kg permissible load capacity for the agreed configuration. The responsible qualified person at the venue must review the actual setup. The current rider includes the other requirements.
